Volunteer projects

Projects fall generally into four categories: Citizen Science (bird counts, butterfly counts, frog and toad counts, etc.), Education (programs for children and adults, booths at park events, etc.), Stewardship (clearing trails at parks, removing invasive species, etc.), and administration (projects to make the chapter run smoothly). See a list of some of the projects here. Members of the HRC should check the Master Naturalist Volunteer Management System for details and contact info for current projects.

Member should submit project proposals by downloading the Volunteer Project Proposal Requirements and Forms document available in pdf format or Word format and submitting Part 1 to Nancy Barnhart.

So many wonderful members of this Historic Rivers Chapter volunteer to help with educational programming at the New Kent Forestry Center I’m surprised not to see an acronym for it under your volunteer projects!! or even DOF!
